Agenesis

In France there are 80 and 100 children per year born with a malformation of the upper or lower limbs: arm, forearm, hand, foot etc.

The types of malformation are:

Agenesis: absence oh member formation during embryonic development.

Dysmelia: malformation of one or more limbs due to disorder of embryogenesis.

The causes of these malformations are still again unknown. They are very rarely genetic. They can come from teratogenic elements (chit, alcool...), infection, amniotic bridles...
